SCRAPBOOK RETREAT

Back in April of last year my friends and I went on a scrapbook retreat in Sevierville, TN.  The name of it is Whispering Winds Scrapbook Retreat, it is a really pretty victorian style home in a quite neighborhood.

The house has 2 rooms that are set up with tables and lamps so you can spread out to work on your stuff.

There is a section of the house (beside the dining room) that is set up as a cutting area; there is a computer and printer, a Cricut machine with many cartridges and other die cutting macines.  Bonnie, the woman who owns the house, was really great; she had us a white bean soup ready in the crockpot when we arrived on Friday.

There are 4 bedrooms that are absoutely beautiful and the beds are really comfortable (I only got pictures of 3 of the rooms).

The great thing about the retreat is that you are with people who are like minded and you can stay up as late as you want without having to worry about husbands or kids; I actually accomplished alot that weekend and found it very relaxing. (That's me in the pink shirt)

Another great thing is the Scrapbook Superstore in Sevierville is just minutes away (and next door to it is the Scrapbook Clearance Store - awesome place).  We shared the house with 3 other women; one was from Knoxville, TN, one from Sevierville, TN and one from Alabama.  We had not met them before but when we booked the house there was only 5 in our group so Bonnie asked if we wanted to share with a smaller group, of course we didn't mind.

As you can tell by the pictures the weather was beautiful in Tennesse in April.  Here is a picture of my gang (from left:  Diane, Lori, Lynn, Darlene and me).

If you ever get a chance to come to Sevierville, TN you should really check out this place.
